*MEASLES*  As you may be aware there has been an recent outbreak of measles, mainly in Wales, however it is important to get your child or yourself vaccinated if you previously have not been. Click here for more information regarding measles.

Charity Fundraising

The Doctors and staff at The Whitfield Practice raise money all year round for various charities.  We have book sales, marathon runners and now to add to our list - Skydivers!!!

 

F R U I T Y  F R I D A Y  - On the 17th of May, the World Cancer Research Fund have organised Fruity Friday.  The day is aimed at helping to raise awareness of the health benefits of fruit and to show that fruit is pretty amazing stuff.  The staff at The Whitfield Practice will be joining the to help raise some money for their research by all donating £2 and wearing yellow that day.  Fruit has all sorts of health benefits associated with it if eaten regularly, one being reducing the risk of developing many different types of cancer.  You can find out more about different fruits and the health benefits here   If you would like to help us by donating some money to this charity there will be a collection box behind reception. Thank you.

 

SKY DIVE - On the 17th June 2012 Dr Morris and the practice manager Sue Coleman did a sky dive in aid of St Gemma's Hospice.  We would just like to thank everyone who sponsored them as they managed to raise just under £1000!!!
